At GBL AI, a division of AXIS Integrated Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. We collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in accordance with Canada's privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and any applicable provincial privacy legislation.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your personal information.
MyPath is a personal travel journal. The following explains, in plain language, what the app collects and why, based on how it actually works.
Location and routes. When you record a trip with live GPS, your device sends route points (latitude, longitude, and time) to that trip while tracking is on. You can also enter a route by hand or import a GPX or KML file you already own. To draw routes on roads, measure distance, and look up places, your route points and place searches are sent to Google Maps. Reliable background tracking depends on your operating system and may be limited when the app is in the background; the in-app Tracking Help page explains this.
Photos and videos. Photos and videos you attach to a trip, and receipt images you scan, are uploaded and stored so you can view and share them. They are stored in public file storage: they are not listed anywhere, but anyone who has the file link can open them. The batch photo organizer removes location (GPS) metadata from images before they are stored; photos added one at a time are compressed but may keep their original metadata depending on the file. Booking confirmation PDFs are stored privately.
Contacts. You can save contacts (name, email, phone) to make trip sharing easier. Contacts are stored with your account. If you import contacts from your device, only the contacts you choose are added.
Voice input. When you use voice commands, your speech is transcribed to text by your browser's built-in speech recognition. The transcribed text, not an audio recording, is sent to our AI service to understand your request. How your browser handles the audio is controlled by your browser and operating system, not by MyPath.
AI features. MyPath uses AI to help write trip and waypoint summaries, packing lists, historical-milestone context, and trip recaps, and to parse booking confirmations, receipts, and voice commands. To do this, the relevant content, such as your route, waypoints, notes, and photos, the text or image you provide, or your voice transcript, is sent to an AI model. Some summary features also use web search to add public context. AI output is a draft you can edit; you decide what to save.
Sharing. You control sharing. A shared trip link can be revoked or set to expire at any time. You can hide the start or end area of a route, require sign-in to view, or add a delay to live location updates. These settings are enforced on our servers: revoked or expired links stop working, and hidden areas are removed from shared route data. People you share with can subscribe to receive email updates and can unsubscribe at any time.
Email and notifications. We send emails for trip sharing, trip updates, and reminders you create. Reminders can also be delivered as push notifications on mobile when the app is installed. You choose which reminders to create and which delivery channels to use.
Retention. We keep your trips, photos, and other content for as long as your account is active so you can use the service. Reminders and notifications are kept until they are completed or you delete them.
Deletion. You can delete your account from Account & Settings. This permanently removes the trips, routes, waypoints, notes, photos, expenses, budgets, reminders, packing lists, saved places, contacts, bookings, itineraries, vacations, and travel stories linked to your account. This cannot be undone.
